We have hand-picked and trained some of the finest, most experienced instructors around. From yoga to strength training, animal flow to counselling and psychotherapy, our teachers all share one thing in common.. a passion for helping people reach their full potential.

Personally trained by KAAIAA Founder, Leah Simmons, our instructors are skilled in understanding and safely guiding our clients through all stages of their health and wellness journeys.

NORMA NELSON

Norma grew up in London, U.K and has a deep passion for music, architecture, travel, motorbikes & of course YOGA.  After completing a degree in architecture and coming to a cross roads in her career, she made the decision to travel the world. She found herself settling in Thailand for a number of years, which was the start of a personal journey of self- discovery, where she found Buddhism, Yoga, Meditation and a passion for teaching.

Norma then completed her 200hr Yoga Teacher Training in 2016 at Body Mind Life in Sydney, under the guidance of Noelle Connolly and Kat Clayton and since then has added several other modules to her portfolio including ... Creative sequencing, The relationship between Science, Music & Yoga, The Art of Alignment & Assists, to name a few.

An Architect once described the relationship between yoga, meditation and architecture so perfectly... “Yoga & meditation, like Architecture, are about our awareness and space. The physical postures, the shapes we make with our bodies when joined with a curiosity about our minds, help us to develop a sense of internal spaciousness. “  

Norma’s style of teaching is exactly about that. Expect a strong class with creative sequences that link conscious breath and movement, taming one’s busy mind and cultivating a larger and more appreciative view of things as they are … all to the background sounds of phenomenal beats!

ABI MULLEN

Abi is a qualified Personal Trainer and Exercise Leader with 6 years of experience delivering both private sessions and group classes within the Sydney Fitness Industry. With certifications in strength and resistance training, cardio conditioning and Pilates, Abi delivers dynamic and invigorating sessions each and every time to keep your fitness routine fun and exciting!

Originally from Scotland, Abi discovered her love of fitness in Australia and created her own powerful change when she left a successful 20 year career in Hospitality to be more connected to her own health and wellness needs. Since then, it has become her mission to pass this power onto others through movement and good health.

Abi’s training philosophy is that fitness is for everyone and is as much about our mental wellbeing as it is about our physical health. She strives to make all sessions accessible and enjoyable for anyone and endeavours to help each participant move beyond their perceived limitations and discover their true potential, one class at a time.

MICHELLE POY

With over 25 years in the fitness industry, Michelle is passionate about helping individuals achieve their health and fitness goals, whether through personalised one-on-one training or the energy and vibe in group sessions. A competitive runner with a strong sporting background, Michelle embraces the journey of continuous improvement.

TAMARA
DARAN-GOWER

A dedicated long time Yoga student, Tamara is no stranger to busyness. Having spent her adult years in the Corporate world, while raising 3 energetic and incredible children, Tamara has become passionate about learning and teaching skills and practices to help others navigate and thrive through the many demands modern life throws at us. 

Tamara believes that it is imperative to include restorative practices into our health and wellness routine, and has a deep love for Yoga, Energy Healing and Meditation. Tamara is trained in Vinyasa Yoga, Trauma informed Yin & Yoga Assists and is also an energy practitioner in both awareness based healing and Reiki.

YAHEL GIDON

Yahel is a certified Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Rocket, Mat Pilates and Flexibility Instructor. Her yoga classes involve different types of yoga (hatha, ashtanga, dharma, vinyasa and rocket) and can range from soft, restorative practices to heat-inducing power yoga.

Yahel loves to focus on mobility and strength, teaching people how to be upside down, and to release fear and surrender to the practice.
